The city of Santarém is situated on a plateau, located on the right bank of the Tagus River, 65 km (40 miles) northeast of Lisbon. The economy of the city remains mainly dedicated to the production of agricultural goods.

E ku'u 'ohana aloha e, aloha kakou!

Oui!

Hey guys! I'm in the MTC!!! It's so crazy! I'm so excited!! I've been waiting to be here my whole life and now I'm here! It's so surreal! I only got a limited amount of time on the computer tonight. We got special permission from the Branch President that we could email home real fast tonight, so here I am. I'll make sure to give a more in depth email on monday, which will be our pdays.

I just want you guys to know that I love you. I love you guys so much it hurts. I miss u all so much! But I know that this is where the Lord needs me to be, and that as I've been serving and as I serve my heart has been filled and comforted and will continue to be filled and comforted. 

Portuguese is awesome! I feel like I'm catching on not bad. I can bear my testimony not bad and say a not bad prayer. It's awesome.

Anyway, I gotta go sleep. Just know I got here safe and that I love you. Please email me back and send pics. Btw my companion is awesome. Hes from Jersey and his name is elder wanlass.
