Starting off my last
week on the mish fam....its super weird. I know in my mind it’s the last week,
but I don’t feel it yet, haha. Ainda bem (still good) I guess. Just gotta work
hard until the end! And this upcoming week promises to be a handful, haha.
Pedro and Carina are
doing really well! We’ve been teaching their kids, and they have been doing a
great job of bearing their testimonies of the lessons! We planned their
baptism, and they’ve asked me to baptized them! They came to church with one of
their kids, and had their baptisms announced! They, and we are too, super
excited for their baptisms!

We had a mission council
by zoom, which is like skype, and we talked about how we can help the mish move
forward. We are hoping to help our zone move forward, and do better! Also,
right after the meeting, the district surprised me and Sister Macedo with our
"funeral", our last district meeting (in the mission). Was pretty
funny. I mean, not every day that I have my pic taken laying down with a
pineapple, haha.
We went to a nearby city
to go work and we got wrecked, haha. I’d never been there before, but we went
and worked and nobody wanted anything, haha. Tudo bem (okay) but what was cool
was that, I had had the impression to bring some stuff printed out in Hindi,
but I didn’t know why. Turns out I run into this guy who speaks Hindi from
India and I’m able to contact him! We were supposed to go teach him, but
it didn’t work out, but the experience was cool! At the least, the seed is
there.

We are still doing the
Christmas campaign and its working out well. We just set that banner up and get
nuts, haha. We just go talk to everyone and its awesome! Always worth talking to
everyone about the gospel because it will BLESS THEIR LIVES! I even ran into a
girl from the Philippines, haha. Closest I think I’ve come to talking to
someone from the Pacific, haha.
Me and Elder Cardenuto,
we working hard! Lovin life on the mish, and doing our best. We have seen the
hand of God in our lives, and I’m so thankful for His guiding us. We have a
goal to find 60 new investigators (this transfer), an average of 10 per week,
and we are at 53! We gonna do it!

Thank you guys sooo much for all the love and support these last 23 1/2 months.
It’s been a long ride, but I’ve learned soooo much. I’m so grateful for all the
opportunities I’ve had to serve the people of Portugal, and for all the
blessings with which I’ve been blessed. They really are the best two years FOR
your life!
I know that God lives!
I know that Jesus Christ is our Redeemer! I know that Joseph Smith was a prophet
of God, and that the Book of Mormon is true. I know that the Gospel is true,
and blesses the lives of all those who live it. I know that any person can know
that these things are true, if they will but ask God, in the name of Jesus
Christ, with a sincere desire to know and an open heart, and that by the power
of the Holy Ghost it shall be confirmed. I know these things not of myself, but
by the power of the Holy Ghost. I read the Book of Mormon, I prayed, and it was
confirmed unto me. I hope, pray, and will work, to help everyone recognize the
blessings that come from this knowledge! Família, amigos, conhecidos, desconhecidos, eu vos
amo! (Family, friends, acquaintances, strangers, I love you!)

So wonderful to hear you and your companion. I was thinking that the Christmas Season provides a stage to be willing cast members in a real life "Plan of Salvation" play. Where again from premortal life we know our purpose and the role Christ plays so that we can live to return to God. Like a recommitment to the Plan. Love you Hyrum. Safe journey home.
